Longtime TV announcer and voice-over artist Ed Reimers dies at 96

Many of the obituaries for Ed Reimers, including the one from The Los Angeles Times (posted below) remember him for his many years with Allstate (he was the voice who told us "You're in good hands with Allstate"). But Reimers was also a fixture on television throughout the '50s and '60s. Among other shows, he was the announcer who introduced each episode of Maverick, Cheyenne and other series "produced for television by Warner Bros."
